Fellow DAW author Jim. C. Hines has his Goblin Quest out now. This delightful fantasy features an appealing little goblin named Jig. He's a total reject in a society of rejects--near-sighted, small, stuck with muck duty. His best pal is a spider named Smudge. Jig gets abducted by adventurers in the goblins' mountain. These adventurers seek a magical artifact...that's familiar, right? But the rest of the story is not, when told from the goblin point-of-view. Funny, sometimes poignant, with flashes of wit and wonder (as well as entertaining gross stuff, which you just can't have without goblins), I couldn't put it down. It comes to a satisfying ending--but the adventures of Jig are not over. Huzzah! This one goes on my reread shelf.
